Allan Wantenaar formed a strong foundation for his career as a specialist Hotel Advisory Consultant, having worked for international corporates who specialise in this sector, including Grant Thornton (now BDO) and JLL, before joining HTI Consulting in early 2019. Allan has worked in the consulting space for over ten years with over 70 completed projects in markets throughout South Africa as well as countries elsewhere in Sub-Saharan Africa, including; Botswana, Cameroon, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa, Swaziland, South Sudan, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe (amongst others). His advisory assignments include; Feasibility Studies, Due Diligences, Operator Selections, Valuations and Management Contract Negotiations.

In her current role she provides PPP Transaction Advisory services to both Public and Private Sector clients. Annamari has a specific focus on Public Private Partnership (PPP) / Alternative Procurement Projects in Real Estate and Infrastructure. She has gained experience as Transaction Advisor on a number PPP projects including the Botswana Oil Limited Fuel Storage Facility PPP. In her current role she is responsible for developing Turner & Townsend’s PPP in Africa to provide strategic support to Governments and Government departments undertaking PPP projects. In addition her role entails advising Funders & Investors and Private Sector Consortia on PPP Projects.

Mr Bolokwe joined the BSE in 2011 and has over twelve years industry experience attained in investment brokerage, investment management and the stock exchange tenured in both Botswana and South Africa. Mr Bolokwe is primarily tasked with developing and promoting the introduction of new products to deepen the capital markets and improve liquidity on the BSE. He holds a Degree in Finance and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Botswana. Mr Bolokwe has completed the Registered Persons Exams (RPE) under the South African Institute of Financial Markets (SAIFM), a Management Development Programme (MDP) and an Executive Development Program (EDP) at the Stellenbosch Business School. Kura Chihota is an Regional Property Consultant at Exp Realty, South Africa. He is a seasoned property professional with experience across property development, asset management especially in listed real estate environment. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of the Witwatersrand, and attended the Real Estate Management Program at Harvard Business School. He has served as Chairman of Investment Committee on the Boards of two listed real estate companies in South Africa and consulted in Zimbabwe and Botswana.
Kwabena is a Portfolio Manager at Kgori Capital covering local equity and fixed income asset classes. He started his career at Ernst and Young Botswana where he spent 3 years performing various roles before becoming an Audit Senior in 2011. He then joined Letshego Financial Holdings Limited, as Financial Accountant responsible for Uganda. He obtained a Bachelor of Accountancy from University of Botswana and later an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
Maje is the co-founder of Apex Properties, he has nearly 20 years experience in the real estate sector with a major focus on valuation and advisory services. He has helped grow Apex into a reputable property consulting outfit. He is the current president of the Real Estate Institute of Botswana and a former board member of REAC. In his current position at REIB he is tasked with transforming it into a modern real estate advocacy body of the twenty-first century.
Mathiba Makolo is the Director – Property Development and Facilities Management at Botswana Digital & Innovation Hub (BDIH). Mathiba is a real estate practitioner whose work has left unforgettable signatures in Botswana, South Africa, Namibia and Zambia. Mr. Makolo has worked for Botswana Defence Force (BDF) where he led the Infrastructure Development arm of the army, Debswana Diamond Company (Pty) Ltd as Contracts Administrator and Nafprop (Pty) Ltd as Projects Development Manager. Mathiba graduated with honors in B.Sc. Quantity Surveying from the University of the Witwatersrand and holds a National Diploma in Civil Engineering from the University of Botswana. Mbakisi Gopolang is an Investment Professional with expertise in Investments, Microfinance,Wealth Management, Real Estate, Banking and Insurance. Mbakisi earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Cum Laude, from Lake Forest College, in Lake Forest,USA. He is part of the two-member Investment team at Debswana Pension Fund,that manages a BWP 10 billion Defined Contribution Fund. Mbakisi is a co- lead, and assists in assessing investment opportunities, managing existing investments, monitoring market trends and risks, and implementing the Funds Investment process. Mbakisi is passionate about investing and would like to leverage his skills to help grow and solidify developing economies and capital markets.
Mokwena Morulane holds a BA Accounting (hons) degree from the University of Bedfordshire, England. He is a fellow member of ACCA, BICA and of Chartered Secretaries of Southern Africa. He also recently acquired the following certifications: Property Development & Investment with the University of Cape Town; and Oxford Executive Development Programme with the University of Oxford. Mokwena possesses extensive Executive Level experience in the resources sector and is currently independent Non-executive Chairman of Minergy Ltd. He is also Managing Director of Cresta Marakanelo Ltd. Mokwena also sits as Chairman of the Masiela Trust Fund, an NGO with a focus on advocacy for children’s rights.

Neltah is a real estate professional with over 7 years experience in the Botswana industry. Her career started with RDC Properties under its property division, Property and Asset Management, where she was part of the project development team of the iconic Masa Centre. She later joined Knight Frank and Exponential Investments heading the management of prominent developments in the CBD before she founded her real estate company, Tempest Gold. Neltah considers herself a ‘multi-potentialite’ with various passions centred around real estate. She is currently studying towards a Doctorate in Real Estate through the University of Witwatersrand. Her company, Tempest Gold, offers real estate services with a strong interest in proptech. The company’s listing app, had been selected as one of Demo Africa’s 2018 Top 30 start ups in Africa as well as being selected as one of 1250 African entrepreneurs for the prestigious Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneur Programme in the same year. Tempest Gold is about to launch its latest offering, ‘Mrs. P’, which is a property management toolbox, which gives landlords the tools to manage its properties from listing its properties to rental management and property maintenance on a digital platform.
Omongwe Samuel Ramakoba holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), a BComm Degree in Real Estate and a Bachelor of Sciences (BSc.) Degree in Chemistry & Environmental Sciences with specialization in Chemical Engineering & Quality Management Systems. He is trained in Value Based Management. Samuel is a certified Real Estate Valuer, Property Manager, and Estate Agent. He has previously served on the Real Estate Institute of Botswana (REIB) Council as Vice-President. Samuel has previously worked as a Chemist and Plant Manager for Barloworld Plascon, responsible for product design & costing, production management, quality assurance and export management. He further worked as a Sales & Marketing Manager for Air Liquide, being responsible for various gas supplies within the Botswana market, with the BCL, Orapa/Letlhakane mines, and hospitals as major consumers. Samuel has previously been engaged as a Business Trainer for both CEDA and the Business Place clients across Botswana, offering modules on Product Costing & Pricing as well as Marketing & Business Strategy. For 3 years he has worked as a Lecturer on real estate modules for all levels at BaIsago University. Currently, besides REAC Chairmanship, Samuel runs a real estate consultancy company, Volksplek Botswana (PTY) Ltd and a chemical manufacturing company, Volkschem (PTY) Ltd.
Oteng Sebonego holds a BA degree (cum laude) in Actuarial Science from the University of Hartford and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He has broad experience in private equity, financial services and technology across Africa. His earlier experience was with Fortune 500 companies GE and Aetna, based in the US.
Patrick is Account Director and SADC Hub Lead in the Occupier Services Division. The role entails ensuring that client’s business strategy is met / enhanced through optimization of real estate. This could be in the form of Consultancy, Strategic Advisory, Market Research, Transaction Management (acquisitions, disposals, consolidations, re-gears, etc…) Patrick Katabua is French and English speaking, and has over 10 years of Real Estate Experience covering African Markets. Prior to joining Broll, Patrick was an Account Director at Chushman and Wakefield Excellerate in the Africa Division, and also assumed the role of Lead for Francophone Territories. Patrick has provided value to key clients including Standard Chartered Bank, Unilever, Novartis, US Embassy, China Communications Construction Company, to name a few. He previously worked in the banking sector for 10 years, as Senior Deal Maker focusing on Africa Commercial Property Finance for various Banks in Africa (ABSA, Standard Bank, FNB).
Sethebe Manake is a business owner, standing at the helm of Botswana’s first Property Research and Consulting Firm. She has extensive experience in the real estate industry particularly with pension fund portfolios, listed property portfolios, consortiums, joint ventures and privately owned portfolios. Her last corporate role was Chief Executive Officer of listed property company Letlole La Rona, before being offered a regional Asset Management position at Stanlib South Africa. Sethebe holds a Bachelor of Science in Property Studies from the University of Cape Town and a Master of Science in Strategic Management from the University of Derby and Botswana Accountancy College.
Therisanyo is a Senior Debt & Trade Transactor with RMB, having joined the bank in 2015.He has been instrumental in providing clients with holistic financial solutions across all sectors that the bank is currently funding. He has over 8 year experince in the Financial Services Industry having worked for African Alliance Asset Management as well as Alexander Forbes Asset Consultants. He is a CFA charterholder and also holds the Investment Management Certficate “IMC” under the CFA Society of the UK. He completed his honours degree in Financial Enginerring from Multimedia University. Therisanyo is also a Trustee of the FNBB Pension Fund and Chairs the Finance and Investment Committee.
Archie works for the Public Private Partnership Unit, Ministry of Finance and Economic Development. Current duties involve assisting Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA’s) to develop, structure and deliver PPP projects. The current portfolio of projects are energy facilities, railways as well as development of staff/office accommodation facilities. Previous duties were on project planning, appraisal, monitoring, and mobilisation of project funding for development projects in the same Ministry. His experience includes projects in transport, telecommunications, health, education, agriculture, and tourism sectors. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics from University of Delaware – Lerner College of Business and Economics.
